Our SCA activity in 1999

May 1999: Lusty Month of May - Whitesburg, GA

Incipient Shire of Tal Mere. We just noodled that night, but we were invited play the next time they held this event in 2001!

Jun 1999: Legends - Crawfordville, GA

Shire of Sol Haven. Our first real concert was part of the evening entertainment. THEN we started to think of ourselves as a band.

Jul 1999: Royal University of Meridies - Warm Springs, GA

Hosted this year by the Barony of Bryn Madoc. No concert, just some noodling in the Time of Waiting before Court.

Sep 1999: Red Tower - Jackson, GA

Barony of the South Downs. King Aengus said it was really nice to have a live band there. When he first walked up to the building we were playing in, he thought he heard "canned music." Then he got closer and had a pleasant surprise! No concert this time either, just some nifty noodilng.

Nov 1999: South Downs Baronial Investiture - Jackson, GA

This was to honor the new Baron and Baroness, Conmaol and Ximena. We played during Court and accompanied the local SCA singing group (the Choristers Guild) playing two of the Cantigas de Santa Maria.

The band formed in the spring and summer of 1999.
Our early practices reminded us of grade-school band class... ;-)

The rest - is history in the making!
