S.C.A.

Most of the band members have participated in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The Society [www.sca.org] is an international, not-for-profit organization whose members study and re-create favorable aspects of European cultures from about the 5th through the 16th centuries.

An SCA event is a gathering at a public or private site where members dress in period-style clothing and do period-style stuff like dancing, feasting, playing games, attending Court, engaging in mock combat, and so on. It's a great hobby.
