Band news and pictures from 2002
- Apr 2002: Borders Books and Music - Duluth, GA
- This suburban superstore had a small stage and a great sound system. We played for the curious customers and got their toes tapping. Our friend Nyssa danced and had help from several young assistants from the audience. We played there again in October.
- Aug 2002: St. Luke's Episcopal Church - Blue Ridge, GA
- Mediterranean music in the mountains of North Georgia!

2002: Borders Books and Music - Duluth, GA - Six months later and we're back again! This time, our friend Saroya (featured in the picture
to the right) joined us. She charmed the audience with her sinuous shimmies, veilwork, and swordwork.
During our rendition of "Miserlou", Saroya [saroya_atlanta/at/hotmail.com]
even got some folks up to join her in a line dance that went all around the floor.
Many, many pictures!

2002: Mobile Zoo Renaissance Faire - Wilmer, AL - We played three shows a day on this cool first weekend of November, trading off the "stage"
with the Zuri Middle Eastern Dance Troupe (much like we did in December
2000 at First Night Mobile). We performed in a clearing between Jimmy
the camel and the chain-link fence cages with the Really Big Kitty Cats. That's Nyssa
in the preview balancing two swords on her head while dancing >>

We're playing while Nyssa twirls her veil on Saturday. [small, large] * Kamuran playing along, watching the Zuri dancers. I'm wearing a magenta kaftan lined in yellow (based on a 16th century style) with a variegated blue turban. [small, large] * Kamuran and Sabah between shows. [small, large]
Speaking of Sabah, he made a Shockwave presentation using pictures from the Faire, pictures from other performances, and a few cute graphics...
